THE COURT

Instructional: Grades 1 & 2

THE COURT Instructional Basketball Program is for Boys and Girls in 1st and 2nd grade.

 

This program is designed to introduce our youngest players to the game of basketball.  The program features a basketball curriculum designed to teach players the fundamental skills of the game, foundational team basketball concepts and an introduction to live gameplay.

 

The instructional basketball program runs on Saturday mornings for 7 consecutive weeks.  Program begins Saturday, January 8 and concludes Saturday, February 19.

 

There are two sessions:

 

Session A: 8AM-9AM

Session B: 9AM-10AM

Players Will

  • Be introduced to core fundamental basketball skills including: dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork and defense
  • Learn introductory basketball terminology and language
  • Play in organized, controlled gameplay settings using the knowledge and skills learned throughout the program
  • Meet new friends and have fun
