Tier 1: Next Level Basketball

Development  level tier

The focus of THE COURT’s Next Level Basketball program is to build each player’s fundamental individual skillset.  We focus on training and skill development and pair that with gameplay in competitively-appropriate team settings.  Competition is structured to promote active participation, building confidence and overall skill advancement.  Local travel only. This program is designed to help players take their game to the Next Level.

Tier 2: THE COURT- Silver

State level tier

THE COURT- Silver level program is centered on high technical skill development for the athlete with an increased focus on in-game competition.  Athletes will be challenged to push their individual skillset and to compete on competitive AAU/travel teams.  Teams will play in competitions throughout CT, MA and potentially beyond.  2-hour travel radius for competitions.  This program is designed for a more competitive player looking to play strong local and state-wide competition.

Tier 3: THE COURT- Gold

Regional level tier

THE COURT- Gold is our most advanced team offering, which focuses on elite level skill development with a very strong focus on in-game competitive standard and achievement.  Athletes will be expected to enter into the Gold season with an advanced individual technical skillset and will receive elite-level intensive training.  Teams will compete at the most competitive tournaments throughout the Northeast with consideration for National-level events.  Regional travel with multiple overnight events.  This program is designed for dedicated basketball players and families with considerable experience competing in premiere competitions.

FAQ

How are teams formed?

Teams are formed through tryouts.  Players are evaluated at tryouts and then offered a position within one of THE COURT tiers.

Can players slide between tiers?

Yes.  Every season tryouts serve as an opportunity for players to be re-evaluated with the potential to be transitioned into another tier of the program.  Each tier is a piece of the same overall program, so coaches constantly communicate and directors of each level are in touch to ensure that players are continuously positioned at the appropriate team level.

How many teams are there at each level?

Each season is different and is dependent on the total turnout for that season.  Our goal is to have at least one team at each tier, at each grade level.

Does everyone make a team?

Every player who attends tryouts will be offered a position in one of the team tiers (assuming we have sufficient participation to form teams at each level).

What are the seasons?

Spring, Fall, Winter

How often are tryouts?

We have tryouts, conduct player evaluations, and form rosters leading into every season.
